Well...fairly new...just haven't gotten around to bloggin' 'bout it. Some good friends brought Hannah back a hermit crab from the beach. She'd been begging for one when we went to the beach back in July and then we forgot all about it before we left. This little sweetie's name is "Tropic-Hannah." Pretty clever don't you think? Hermit crabs really get a bad rap I think. They are actually pretty social little things. It loves to be squirted with a water bottle and is very happy and active when you clean her cage and give fresh food and soak her sponge. It does however kinda freak you out during the night when you hear her crawling around in those rocks and you can't figure out what's making that sound!! Now that the new has worn off, I guess you could say that she's MY crab. I like her though...she's minds her own business and doesn't talk back to me. Much to learn from this little creature!
