Warm weather and soccer

I love this time of year..not hot yet..not cold anymore..Hannah came home from school Monday and went straight and put her swimsuit on..she and some neighborhood girls played in the hose on the trampoline and "sunned" in the driveway. Speaking of which..I SERIOUSLY need some sun. A few years ago, we owned a tanning salon in Jackson. It was a huge nightmare!!! It was while Drew was deployed the first time..sparing details of my lack of knowledge of running a business...we were ripped off to say the least..Finally got out from underneath that...now I kinda miss being able to tan. Guess I'll have to get it the old fashion way.

Soccer is another big thing that takes up our time..we LOVE Fall and Spring soccer. This past Monday was the last game. We played pretty good, but not quite good enough. It really bites to lose your last game of the season. You can't tell it from the picture, but there were lots of tears shed...or at least there was from mine. That's one of those things they forgot to put in the parenting book..."How to console your kid after losing" Man, there's nothing worse!! Any insight anyone wants to share on that would be greatly appreciated. I know, I know...somebodies gotta lose. I prefer it be the other team.

Drew left today for Camp Shelby until around the first week of April. Hannah and I are kinda having a pity party tonight. We're pretty good at it too..Ate Captain Crunch for supper and took a bubble bath with the jets on. Many more of those to come!!

She is such a pretty girl! She looks like the Gabbert girls. I love her smile.
Losing the game Mon. probably didn't help her little feelings any when she was already, most likely, thinking of her dad being away for a while. That may have been weighing on her too. She has a good mom to console her, and we'll help console YOU with prayer:)

There is something worse than losing a soccer game...wait til she gets her heart broken by a boy!

At her age I'm sure it was traumatic. Some day she will see that there's a lesson in losing-endurance and grace. She'll be fine. She has YOU!!
