I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. Psalm 40: 1-2

Oh, girl! I know the heartache and joy those kids felt. My Daddy got called up for Desert Storm. Was a long year... but the day we got to go and welcome him home was a day I will NEVER forget!!!
I love you, Honey, and I am thinking about you and your crew every single day!!!
okay. . . . i'm bawling! where are those tissues?
I still have the sign Megan made when she was 3 that said "Welcome Home, Daddy" following Desert Storm. I look back at pictures of her taken while he was gone and then compare it to the one taken when she landed in his arms. She was so young, but you can see she knew something was very different as the smile just wasn't there until she got to wave that sign for him. Daddys have such a special place...
And, please know you will be in my prayers as your family enters another deployment. ("limbo time" as I used to call it). You feel like your right arm is gone and trying to be strong for your family and keep the home functioning is a job in itself most days. But you do it willingly. Know your support group reaches far, girl. Love ya.
